ALMS - Aston Martin gagne, Dyson titrée

La Lola-Mazda Dyson N°16 (Dyson/Smith/Cochran) était en pole et elle a mené en début de course, mais elle a vite perdu des places.
L'autre voiture de l'équipe, la N°20 (Al Masaood/Kane/Leitzinger) a pris la tête, alors qu'il y a eu un contact entre les deux Lola-Aston Martin, l'officielle (Fernandez/Primat/Mucke) et celle de Cytosport/Muscle Milk (Luhr/Graf), ce qui a valu une pénalité à Luhr.
La Lola-Mazda Dyson N°16 a repris la tête après les deuxièmes passages aux stands. La Lola-Aston Martin officielle l'a doublée dans le dernier relais. Aston Martin, de retour en ALMS, signe enfin un succès cette saison après avoir abandonné l'AMR-One, son catastrophique prototype ouvert.

Abandon pour la Lola-Aston Martin Cytosport/Muscle Milk

Les Lola-Mazda Dyson complètent le podium, avec la N°26 devant la N°20. Chris Dyson et Guy Smith s'assurent du titre LMP1. La Lola-Aston Martin Cytosport/Muscle Milk a abandonné après une casse moteur.
Une LMP2 était engagée, une HPD de l'équipe Level 5. Elle a pris la quatrième place du classement général.
A noter que la Porsche Hybrid (Dumas/Lietz), qui dispose d'un KERS développé par Williams, était engagée hors catégorie. Elle a pris la 10ème place, devant les GT.

BMW titrée en GT

La course a été très animée en GT. La Ferrari Risi (Melo/Vilander) menait avant le dernier tour mais elle est tombée en panne d'essence. La victoire revient à la Porsche Flying Lizard (Bergmeister/Long) juste devant la BMW N°56 (Hand/Muller). Hand et Muller deviennent champions
En PC, avec des Formula Le Mans, la voiture de Genoa (Lux/Julian/Guasch) s'impose devant la N°06 de CORE Autosport (Jeannette/Gonzalez/Junco).
Enfin, la catégorie GTC, où tous les pilotes ont une Porsche GT3, a été remportée par la voiture de TRG N°66 (Ende/Pumpelly/Ludwig) devant la N°54 de Black Swan (Pappas/Bleekemolen/Bleekemolen).
